The first change I made in the video was significantly reframing the amount of text I included. It's true that such a task can be difficult to accomplish when you're working with a previously published piece of text, in my case, Dorothy Parker's The Flapper.
But I realized that there were definitely ways to improve the viewing experience, nevertheless. I added additional content to the moments of Parker's poem flashing on the screen, also including a more dynamic collection of video elements. Before, I think my e-poem watched like a simple, perhaps documentary-style feature on video clips.
But now, with overlaid videos and a more sophisticated approach to transitional phrases on Camtasia, I'm super excited to see the final result. Below, you can see my first draft of the e-poem. The s gangster costume can be summed up as men in dark suit jackets often striped, never black with matching vests and pants, a white or black band fedora hat, a contrasting tie, and a fat cigar in his mouth.
Wearing a black bandana is usually associated with gang affiliation. Latin Kings, Black Gangster Disciples, MS 13, Vice Lords and 18th Street are some of the gangs reputed to wear black bandanas, and other colors or combinations, as a symbol of membership.
Gangsters choose to wear suits to portray that they are in the same league as the bosses running those big corporations. Wearing well-tailored suits places them a cut above the rest.
Unlike their old-fashioned counterparts, modern-day gangsters wear baggy, casual clothes that come in various colors. A gangster is a criminal who is a member of a gang.
Gangs provide a level of organization and resources that support much larger and more complex criminal transactions than an individual criminal could achieve. Gangsters have been active for many years in countries around the world. The Mafia continues to make millions and millions of dollars from not only traditional mob rackets but new and innovative schemes.
